Here is a question that I’ve asked myself over and over again “Does Hypnosis Work for Weight Loss??
The answer is always YES!!!! However if you met me you would realize very quickly that I’m over weight and have struggled with my weight for the past 15 years.
You might then say so if you are a hypnotist and hypnosis works for weight loss why are you fat??
As you can imagine there is no easy answer to this but I will try to explain and for the record I have now decided that I cannot do this alone and have finally sought help. No man or women is an island when it comes to weight loss.
You see, unlike smoking, we need to eat to live, and for most people, eating is tasty, fun and enjoyable. Unfortunately, what tastes good to us often isn't what is healthy for us.
The truth is that food has become for some of us our vice of choice. We may have given up smoking, drinking but we can’t give up eating. This fact makes it easy for us to use food as a substitute for smoking when we are stressed, for drinking when we are down etc.
Food has now for all the wrong reasons become our preferred method of external gratification to justify us feeling better. We can justify all this because at the end of the day we cannot stop eating!!! Therefore we eat and eat and eat and eat…………………!

How does Hypnosis for weight loss work?
Hypnosis uncovers the unpleasant emotional feelings that you may be stuffing down with food. In many cases food is used as a way to numb emotional pain. This underlying emotional pain has to be addressed and resolved in order for us to successfully remove the weight and keep it from coming back.
Eliminating the cause that makes us use food as a numbing agent must be our first priority.
Hypnosis also helps you create new positive behaviours to replace the old behaviours. These new behaviours are then re-enforced by YOU while YOU do your self hypnosis.
As we all know (me included) many people with weight issues don't like to exercise. Some may even exercise in a way that does not burn enough calories given the amount of calories they take in each day.
For this reason your hypnotist will teach you self hypnosis and by practicing self hypnosis, you can help yourself maintain new behaviours, so that you can achieve your weight loss goal and maintain your ideal weight.
So learn from my mistakes it’s never to late to leave your DESSERT ISLAND and get help! I’m glad I did and so will you!
